Cancellation and refunds

Version 2026-10-31 · Legal review edition 8 · Last reviewed 31 October 2026

Beta policy review · not approved for general or paid launch. These review documents do not activate a paid plan or certify compliance. Outstanding operational checks remain.

1. Ordinary cancellation and renewal

Cancel through the online route supplied with the order or send an unambiguous request to legal@earnsela.com. No prescribed form, phone call or explanation is required. Cancellation should stop the next renewal and be confirmed on a durable medium. State the effective date and any remaining paid access.

The selected monthly or annual total, renewal frequency, required notices and cancellation route must be clear before payment. Annual payment is an upfront annual commitment, subject to cancellation and refund rights; it is not monthly instalments. No promotional trial or retrospective beta charge is offered.

2. Initial cooling-off rights

Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply to the order, the proposed online service normally carries fourteen days to cancel from contract formation. Do not treat this as a free trial: whether any proportionate charge is lawful depends on the service, the pre-contract information and a valid express request for early performance.

No waiver of cancellation rights is hidden in these terms. Any request to begin services during the cooling-off period or consent/acknowledgement required for digital content must be specific and legally valid. If the necessary conditions were not met, Earnsela must not claim a deduction or exception merely because the user signed in. Classification and implementation are launch checks.

3. Changing subscription law

Mandatory rules applying when the contract is entered into control. Later initial or renewal cooling-off rights, reminder notices and refund/exit duties must be reflected in checkout and operations before affected sales. The October 2026 government guidance is a draft prepared for a future regime; confirm final legislation and commencement rather than assuming it is already effective.

4. Refunds and service problems

Ordinary cancellation after an applicable cooling-off period does not usually refund access properly supplied earlier. This does not restrict statutory remedies for a faulty or misdescribed service, a failure to provide reasonable care and skill, an unauthorised charge, or a material adverse change. Refund unused prepaid access where the law or an express promise requires it.

Refund by the applicable legal deadline, ordinarily to the original payment method, without an administration penalty. Do not force a customer to accept credit where a money refund is required. We may proportionately verify the account and order. No real payment or refund integration is active in the beta.

5. Account closure and record retrieval

Cancelling renewal, closing an identity account and deleting work data are separate operations. Do not leave an unwanted subscription renewing because a user has deleted their account. Maintain a lawful route to retrieve records and exercise privacy rights without buying another plan.

The proposed commercial exit includes thirty days of read-only retrieval, without new recording or analyses, after access ends. This workflow must be implemented before billing. Retention and erasure depend on the privacy notice and law; nothing promises indefinite storage or automatic complete deletion of all providers’ backups.
